Affibody is a privately held company and provides financial information in annual reports and in company presentations.  Among the owners of Affibody are HealthCap, Investor and SV Life Sciences.

In March 2007 Affibody issued new shares for a total of SEK 200 million, of which SEK 107 million was a private placement with new and existing owners and SEK 93 million was used to off-set loans from shareholders. Among the new investors are the Third Swedish National Pension Fund, Kaupthing Bank, Lage Jonason, Stena Sessan and Ingvar Kamprad.

Affibody was founded in 1998 by researchers from the Royal Institute of Technology and the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm. The company has to date raised SEK 543 million.
